Olives from Kalamata

The olives of Messenia are PDOs, richer in total tocopherols than other olives and the only ones containing more β-tocopherols and α-tocotrienols. The trace elements of olives are potassium, calcium, phosphorus, iron and magnesium.

They are collected during the months of November-December from the Kalamata region. Due to its geographic location and geophysical conditions (sunshine of at least 3000 hours per year), they mature on the tree with the Sun feeding them, and the sea breeze penetrates them, creating a microclimate that helps them grow.
